Brownless, Greg
Tell us your name and your connection to the Western Bay of Plenty?
Greg Brownless and I’ve lived in Tauranga since 1986. During this time I’ve had community, business and family connections throughout the Bay of Plenty.
Why are you standing for TECT?
I’m standing for TECT because I have a huge appreciation for the role of community organizations and want to see them supported.
What do you see as the greatest opportunity for TECT in the next four years?
The greatest opportunity is to be able to increase TECT’s support for the community by wise investment and distribution.
Why do you think you're right for the role?
I’m right for the job because I both know the positive impact TECT funding can have on worthy organisations and have personally led the way by supporting the Bay of Plenty community myself. I’m both compassionate and competent. It is a privilege to be able to help shape our future and I have been privileged to be able to lead by example. I can assist in maintaining and increasing the difference TECT makes and respectfully ask for your vote.
Candidate Profile
I have been committed to the Bay of Plenty and Tauranga since coming to live here in 1987 and have been active both in business and the arts. As a supporter, participant in and patron of many Tauranga community organisations I am associated with varied interests including theatre, musical theatre, sports and charitable organisations.
In 2007 I gifted my successful business to the Legacy Trust which also has gifted significant funds to the local community.
I am keen to ensure TECT continues its vital role helping to fund causes that make a real difference.
If you are looking for a trustee who has a proven heart for the community and who has clearly led by example, I would appreciate your vote. Kind regards, Greg Brownless.
